What is the Best Season to Strip and Flip Furniture?

One of the most frustrating things about the end of Autumn in many parts of the country (besides the end of Pumpkin Spice Lattes, of course) is the weather getting in the way of our stripping, refinishing, restoring and flipping of furniture.

For years, our ability to keep our passion alive has been limited to working in the backyard, the driveway, the garage (with the door wide-open), or anywhere else that those toxic fumes would be less likely to cause any harm. On most days, the local weatherman would tell us whether or not we were going to be productive.

The reason for these limitations is simple: toxic Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). Theses toxic VOCs are a large group of chemicals that are found in many common furniture refinishing products… especially stripping agents.
Common symptoms of exposure to high levels of VOCs include eye & skin irritation, dizziness, nausea, headaches, liver damage, kidney damage, neurological damage, pregnancy complications, cancer, and even death.

Yikes.

That’s why you have always needed to use these products in very specific places with very specific safety equipment. No closed garage doors and no interior projects, unless you were suited up in some very intense safety gear.

Are we stripping furniture or getting launched into outer space?

Well, all of that changed when Stripwell QCS hit the scene! QCS is different than every other available stripping agent because it contains none of these dangerous VOCs!

Stripwell QCS - The BEST Winter Stripper

PictureStripwell QCS lets you Strip Vintage Finishes even in the Winter!
Stripwell’s founder, Gary LeClerc (pronounced LeClair), has worked professionally as a vintage and antique furniture restoration expert for over two decades in Connecticut. In that time, he has dealt with the same frustration (even on a professional level) of having to worry about those dangerous VOCs and decided to get to work developing a solution.

Well by jove, he did it!

The result was Stripwell QCS Vintage Finish Remover. Stripwell QCS is formulated with non-toxic, high flash point (non-flammable) ingredients that enable a much safer alternative when compared to using traditional strippers that rely on dangerous chemicals and/or highly flammable components. The good news is that safer chemistry does not affect efficiency.

Stripwell QCS performs on the same level or better than most toxic strippers in removing many of the vintage and antique coatings you will face when refinishing, restoring and flipping furniture.

The main ingredient in Stripwell QCS is a triple-distilled plant ester that is a non-VOC and is listed as an EPA Inert ingredient.

So what is the best season to strip, refinish, restore and flip vintage and antique furniture? With Stripwell QCS the answer is simple - EVERY season is the best season.

So don't let winter strip you of your passion!
Don’t flipping hibernate!

Simply choose Stripwell QCS and gain back the months that winter looks to steal from you. Be a winter flipper!
